son of Thomas Graves of Hartford, (1645 - Nov 1662), married Sarah ( Stedman) who died 17 Dec 1666. , but according to a recent (2007) article in "The American Genealogist", Isaac was baptized at Thundridge, Co.Hertfordshire, England on Feb 16, 1624, the son of Thomas Graves and Sarah **Scott** Graves. ^{1 2}

Isaac married Mary Church [7271] [MRIN: 2986], daughter of Richard Church [7363] and Anne Marsch [7364], before 1645 in Hartford, Connecticut. (Mary Church [7271] was born on 2 Nov 1632 in Braintree, Essex, England and died on 9 Jun 1695 in Hatfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts ¹.)
