General Notes: She may have been the daughter of William and Susannah Tilton of Lynn,MA, though this is not at all clear. William Tilton died in 1653, and this Mary Tilton was possibly born in 1657 or 1658. Her kinship to Wlliam Tilton is at least probable, as her husband was closely associated with Samuel Tilton of Hampton,NH, who also settled at Martha's Vineyard. 2 Noted events in her life were: • She was buried at the South End Cemetery in Vineyard Haven, Dukes County, Massachusetts in 1746. 2 Inscription: Mary married Lt. Issac Chase [6786] [MRIN: 2702], son of Thomas Chase [6788] and Elizabeth Philbrick [6789], on 5 Oct 1675 in Chilmark, Martha's Vineyard.1 2 (Lt. Issac Chase [6786] was born on 1 Apr 1650 in Hampton, New Hampshire,3 died on 19 May 1727 in Tisbury, Dukes County, Massachusetts 4 and was buried in 1727 in Vineyard Haven, Dukes County, Massachusetts.)
