Capt. Jethro Ballentine Riddick [5738]
Noted events in his life were: • He served in the military as a 2nd Lieutenant Co. I, 41st Virginia Infantry Regiment on 15 Jul 1861 in Cypress Chapel, Nansemond County, Virginia. 3 Promoted to Full Captain on 6 Aug 1864. He took part in battles in Chancellorsville, 2nd Manassas, Sharpsburg, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, The Wilderness, Spotsylvania Courthouse, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, Burgess Mills, Shady Grove, Appomattox Court House and others. See The Virginia Regimental Histories Series. • He was buried at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suffolk, Virginia in 1887. |
