• He had a residence after 1681 in Suffield, Connecticut. ¹ He removed, probably about 1681-2, to Suffield (now Connecticut), where he was one of the most prominent and influential of the early settlers. He was often chosen to important offices, was a member of the General Court of the colony, then held in Boston, 1711 to 1714, and again in 1717. He d. in Boston, suddenly, in Nov. 1717. while in attendance upon his duties as a member of the General Court from Suffield
He acquired a large property, and was greatly esteemed His will, dated Nov. 20,1717, is recorded both in Boston, and at Northampton, which was the county seat of Hampshire county\emdash to which Suffield then belonged.
