Noted events in his life were: • He worked as a blacksmith in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard. 1 • He worked as a land owner and speculator in real estate. 1 He was a great land owner and speculator in real estate on mortgage and the records show 170 transactions in his name as grantor or grantee. • He was elected to office 1715 to 1735 in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard. 1 He was Judge of the Court of Common Pleas 1715; Representative to the General Court 1721, 1733, 1735, besides holding important town offices. Enoch married Beulah Eddy [4034] [MRIN: 1175], daughter of John Eddy [4035] and Hepzibah Daggett [4036], in 1701 in Edgartown, Dukes County, Massachusetts.1 (Beulah Eddy [4034] was born about 1680 in Edgartown, Massachusetts and died on 27 May 1708 in Martha's Vineyard, Dukes County, Massachusetts.) |
