• His obituary was published in the Boston News Letter on 25 Mar 1715 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. ¹ On Monday the 21st Courant, Dyed at Exeter the Honourable PETER COFFIN, ESQ., in the 85th year of his age, who was late Judge of his Majesty's Superior Court of Judicature, and First Member of His Majesty's Council of this Province; a gentleman very serviceable, both in Church and State. We have a serve storm of snow.

Peter married Abigail Starbuck [3689] [MRIN: 1379], daughter of Edward Starbuck [7291] and Catherine Reynolds [7292], about 1656. (Abigail Starbuck [3689] was born in 1641 in Dover, New Hampshire and died in 1660 in Nantucket Island.)
