• Her obituary was published in the Daily Press on 19 Nov 1990 in Newport News, Virginia. NEWPORT NEWS - Rena G. Outland, 87, died Saturday, Nov. 17, in Riverside Regional Convalescent Center.

She was a native of Smithfield, N.C., and had been a Peninsula resident for 56 years. She was a member of Warwick Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include three sons, Hobert J. Corbett, and William F. Corbett, both of Newport News, and Bruce D. Outland of Lakewood, N.J.; one half-sister, Mavis Warwick of Smithfield, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday in Peninsula Funeral Home by Rev. Carl Mericle. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after the service until 8:30 p.m
