  General Notes:

"John Kittredge was an inhabitant as early as about 1659. From him, it is said, have descended all of the name in New-England. Tradition informs us, "that he had knowledge of the healing art." This knowledge seems to have descended to his posterity in the eldest branch of his family. He died, 18 October, 1676, leaving five sons.
